Every day, a student, teacher, librarian, activist, or artist fights for free speech somewhere in the United States. When they need help, they turn to NCAC, the only national organization devoted exclusively to defending the freedom of thought, inquiry, and expression and opposing censorship in every form. At this year’s benefit, we will celebrate those who embody the mission and spirit of our work.
This year’s event will be hosted by Judy Gold and will honor Floyd Abrams (Inaugural Floyd Abrams Award), Henry Louis Gates (Phil Harvey Freedom of Thought Award), Lee Bollinger (Judy Blume Lifetime Achievement Award), Noam Dworman (Free Speech Defender in Entertainment Award), and Jodi Picoult (Robie Harris Author Award)
