There are four years between presidential inaugurations—that means that we have 1,460 days of action that we must all take to have an impact on what will happen during and after the new administration. During this time we must come together to support progressive candidates, to educate our community about the systemic failures of our voting system, and to empower one another to stand up for victims of racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, propaganda, media manipulation, and other forms of hate.
To launch this work we are hosting The Anti-Inaugural Ball to bring us together to immediately offer support to organizations that are training and inspiring new progressive candidates including first and second generation American leaders to run for office.
The event will be hosted on Thursday, January 19 at 6:30 pm at The Wyndham New Yorker Ballroom, the venue Hillary Clinton gracefully gave her concession speech. This is a place where many dreams were dashed, but through this work, new ones will be realized. There will be 1,460 days of action between this event and the next presidential election; this event not only launches our work but will also introduce a plan of action to make a difference!
