In grammar school...
...when the teachers would say, “Act your age, not your shoe size.” I would reply, “Same thing.” I don’t remember grammar school being that horrific except that at a certain point I grew taller than my teachers and lots of the kids’ parents. I was an exceptional student, except I got a “D” in self control in 4th grade. I was so afraid to show my report card to my mother. Knowing my mother, she just let it roll off her back,
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I didn’t really fit in – you know, being tall, loud, huge, funny, gigantic, with orthopaedic looking shoes. The cliques started forming and I was in this really small one. There was one member and she was really TALL.
